Important rules in use: Classic RAW6, SiF, no DSB, no CAP, house oil & victory.
Campaign: Fascist Tide

Players:
Axis: Nicklas Román, age 20
Allies: Mattias Román, age 24
General outline of game: Axis Med '41, USSR '42. Allied Italy first.
Victory: Axis decisive victory, +10

Oil-dependant reinforcement (Option 70c)
Placing oil-dependant units on-map in the reinforcement stage requires active MPs to control oil resources. The first unit placed is free. For each oil
resource that was transported to a functioning factory in the previous production phase two additional units may be placed. For this purpose HQ-A
counts as two units. (SiF: Naval units counts as half a unit.) If a MP hasmore oil dependant units due to arrive than it is allowed to place on-map, the
remaining units are placed on the production spiral to arrive as reinforcements in the following turn. The owning player chooses which units to delay
in this way.

Two player Fascist Tide victory (Option 70m)
When playing the Fascist Tide campaign with only two players, this rule replaces the standard victory rules. Bid as usual. However, the bid only
applies to the axis side. In the case of a player choosing the allies, the bid is inverted for the axis.
(Example: Mattias wins the bidding at +1 and chooses to play the allies. The bid for the axis is thus -1.) Apply the bid to the standard bid as usual to
get the final bid, with one modification: all neutral objectives will befall the allied side at the end of the game. The standard bid for the Euroaxis when
playing this rule is therefore lowered to 8 objectives (Germany 8, Italy 0).
The final bid is the number of objectives the axis need to control at the end of the game to achieve a draw. Deduct the modified axis bid from the
number of objectives controlled by the axis at the end of the game and consult the following table to determine the type of victory achieved.

Victory type table
+9 or higher axis decisive victory
+4 to +8 axis victory
+2 to +3 axis marginal victory
-1 to +1 draw
-3 to -2 allied marginal victory
-4 or lower allied victory

S/O '39 - War

Germany declares war on Poland and conquers it without losing any units, and also takes out Denmark without losses. The USSR occupies Eastern
Poland. The Western Allies declare war on Germany but do not stop there. Both DOW Italy on the second allied impulse and manage to damage
both Italian TRS.

N/D '39 - North African swap

French troops move into western Libya from Tunisia, while Italian troops move into western Egypt from Libya. The CW does not reinforce Egypt,
but instead lands troops in Corsica. They cross into Sardina and conquer it. The French assault the lone Italian GARR in Tripoli at the same time as
the Italians capture an undefended Suez. Libya turns French and Egypt turns Italian. The first merchant ships are destroyed as Italian SUB score
hits on French CONV in the CSV sea area. Germany moves troops west. The US promises resources to the WA.

J/F '40 - Supply battles in the Med

HQ-A Wavell, the only CW unit in Egypt, withdraws to Palestine. The Italians pursue while the fleets battle to keep and cut supply. Germany
completes its build-up along the Benelux borders. The US agrees to patrol the East coast.

M/A '40 - Netherlands conquered

Germany conquers the Netherlands for no losses. The CW evacuates Palestine and newly arrived German troops march into Jerusalem. Allies end
the turn on a pass (EOT# 0+1). The US interns the French CV.

M/J '40 - Germany crosses the Dyle

Germany conquers Belgium and suffers its first casualties, two of the INF assaulting Antwerp on the surprise impulse. German forces easily cross
the Dyle and engage the French, managing to throw all French corps out of Belgium. However, towards the end of the turn the French counterattack,
destroying a lone German ARM in Brussels and overrunning a LND2 in the process. Italy conquers Syria and Trans-Jordan. The USSR conquers
Bulgaria with the use of its fresh PARA. The CW secures Malta and Gibraltar, both now defended by two corps. The US negotiates future control of
Greenland and Iceland.

J/A '40 - Vichy government installed

Germany suffers heavy losses in France but manages to reach Paris by the end of the turn to install the Vichy government. All French territory goes
Vichy except French West Africa, containing the French range-two cruisers.
Note that Vichy France now controls Tripoli. The CW reinforces Sardinia. The Italians try to defend their coastal waters but are badly beaten by the
combined WA fleets. With only three chits in the US entry pool, the USSR sits quietly on the Rumanian borders. US congress also remains silent.

S/O '40 - War in the Balkans

Germany DOW Yugoslavia and aligns Rumania and Hungary. As a result, the USSR troops poised to assault Rumania start witdrawing towards the
rear rivers. Germany also begins sending reinforcements to Italy, most notably lots of AC to Sicily. Yugoslavia conquers Albania for the CW.

N/D '40 - US Gear up

German and Russian troop movements continue. The US gears up weapons production.

J/F '41 - Troop shuffling

German and Russian troop movements are completed. Germany has most of itsland forces along the partition line in Poland and in Yugoslavia, and
most of its air force in Italy. The USSR has very few units in front of the rear rivers. Bulgaria has been emptied of Russian forces.

M/A '41 - Battle of Sardinia

Germany, previously hindered by poor weather, finally conquers Yugoslavia and heads for the Greek border. German losses in Yugoslavia amount to
one Hungarian INF. Meanwhile, in a splendid combined arms performance the axis forces manage to chase the CW fleet out of the western Med.,
ground strike the defenders in Sardinia, paradrop directly on HQ-A Wavell and recapture Cagliari at 2-1 +2 with only the German PARA and MAR.
All participating Axis forces are decorated for extreme valor.

M/J '41 - Malta falls

Germany DOW Greece but the turn ends before they can advance into an undefended Athens. Once again combined Axis forces drive the British
navy out of the western Med. Malta is repeatedly ground struck and finally assaulted in a successful marine/airborne invasion. Gibraltar and
Cyprus are now the only remaining allied territories in the Med. Germany also Liberates Albania, but installs its own puppet regime instead of the
previous Italian-backed government. Italy conquers Sudan. Molotov approaches Ribbentrop with a suggestion for expanded trade but Ribbentrop
declines.

J/A '41 - Vichy collapsed

Germany collapses the Vichy government, assumes complete control over all of mainland France and scuttles most of the Vichy BB fleet. The Axis
also swiftly secure Corsica and Algeria, as well as the few remaining allied hexes in Sardinia. The pride of the British navy, the Hood, is sunk as the
British fail to find the Italian TRS in the western Med. Germany also conquers Greece for the loss of one INF. The CW starts shipping troops into
Morocco to halt the Axis advance. US congress passes the War Appropriations Bill to further increase military spending. Ribbentrop reassures
Molotov that the German forces in Poland are only there to deter Polish partisan activity.

S/O '41

North African front established German forces liberate Libya and return control to the Italians. German and CW marines meet in the Atlas
mountains and the first stable front of the war is established.

N/D '41

Battle of the Atlantic re-initiated Germany has finally built back enough SUB to return to attack the CW CONV in the Atlantic. Axis SUB
casualties were high in the beginning of the war, but now they are back up to strength. Italy conquers Cyprus. The US becomes active due to a
somewhat predictable Japanese DOW.

J/F ' 42 - US forces arrive in Africa

Germany conquers Tunisia. The Axis now control all of North Africa in the western Med., except for the most northeastern coastal hex in the
Moroccan mountains where the British marines are entrenched. US land and air forces start arriving in Morocco to strengthen the British.
Ribbentrop demands an explanation for this act of aggression but receives none.

M/A '42 - Norway conquered

Germany has been railing MAR and PARA into Denmark for the past two turns, and to nobody's surprise the Germans DOW Norway. The
Norwegian defenders are to few to head off the assault and Norway is conquered for no German losses.
However, the Americans immediately ship GAR and MIL into Narvik to keep the important port in allied hands. Axis SUB have their most
successful turn of the war yet, with 6 CW CP destroyed. The US main fleet is relocated to Belfast.

M/J '42 - Failed US DOW

The turn begins with US carrier task forces sailing towards German ports.
Germany reacts by moving all of its ships into the Baltic, out of harms way.
In spite of this the US attempts to DOW Germany, but fails on a roll of 9.
Meanwhile, German troop build-up in Syria scares Iraq into entering the war on the axis side. Italian TRS keep shipping troops into Algeria, and
the CW fleet seems unable to find them. Massive axis LBA commitment manages to sink the Furious, the first carrier loss of the war. The German
forces in Poland and the USSR forces behind the rear rivers are still sitting quietly. US carriers remain at sea close to the German ports.

J/A '42 - Total war

West: The allies go first and the US Successfully declares war on both Axis MPs. The Americans port strike all German ships foolish enough not to
have rebased to the deep Baltic ports. The allies ask Portugal for basing rights in Lisbon, but the Portuguese refuse. What the allies want they have
to take by force, and Portugal is conquered for the loss of the NZ MOT. US naval command suddenly realises all of the new BBs were supposed to
go to the Pacific, not the Atlantic, and they are promptly removed (Build mistake by the US). Mexico and Central America join the war against
tyranny. With Suez in axis hands it proves impossible to keep allied CP in the transfer pool, and Japanese pressure in the Pacific costs the allies
one objective. The US main fleet is rebased to Lisbon..

East: In the second and third allied impulses the USSR starts moving its forces forward. Germany cries "aggression!" and issues a DOW, as does
as Italy. Finland sees an opportunity to regain Karelia and joins the Axis.
Both sides advance cautiously except for HQ-A Zhukov, who drops an OC and blasts into Rumania. Germany liberates Bulgaria, but does not send
troops to attack the lone USSR WP GAR sitting on the resource. In the north, Germany conquers Lithuania and Latvia while the USSR conquers
Estonia, but no attacks take place. The front is established from Odessa along the Dniester river, up along the old USSR-Polish border below the
Pripet marshes and the Neman river above the Pripet, with Kaunas and Riga in Axis hands. HQ-A Manstein and the bulk of the german forces are
in Lithuania while the bulk of the Red Army is following Zhukov into Rumania.

S/O '42 - US lands in France

West: The US decides to keep more of its resources to itself as its PM is now greater than the CW PM. The US CV fleet is determined to kick the
axis out of the western Med., and there are naval battles there throughout the turn. Most of them are allied "wins". The allied land forces in
Morocco are however unable to exploit any opportunities gained by the fleets.
Instead the allies take advantage of the fact that the German forces that were stationed in Bordeaux had to rail to Rumania. US troops land next to
the city and capture it. Germany has been busy re-taking all of the coastal hexes in Libya, and are now finished except for the hex containing the FF
WP MTN left there since Vichy collapsed.

East: Both sides maneuver for position in stormy weather. A German counter-attack retakes a hex in Rumania, but the USSR captures Chisinau
all the same. No attacks in the north.

N/D '42 - USSR on the offensive

West: Germany finally attacks the FF MTN in Libya and destroys it. The Axis give up one hex of mountain in Algeria to shorten the front. There
have still been no attacks made by either side in Algeria. The Germans also move to contain the US troops in Bordeaux. Indecisive naval battles
take place in the western Med throughout the turn. The US starts shipping BPs to the CW.
Another Japanese raid is successful, costing the allies one more objective.

East: The USSR goes on the offensive bigtime and make lots of low-odds attacks all along the front during the entire turn. Riga and Kaunas are
captured in the north and Lvov in the south. The Germans withdraw in Good order, but nevertheless the turn ends with large gaps in the German
line.
The USSR "liberates" Latvia and Lithuania.
J/F '43 - Allies regain control of the Med

West: The allied fleets finally achieve their goal of reclaiming the western Med, as the axis are for the first time forced to abort the sea area
completely. Repeated large surface battles send several ships on both sides to the bottom and to the repair pool. The turn ends before the allies
can take advantage of the fact that the entire axis army in Algeria is OOS.

East: The allies get a double-impulse and the USSR exploits the holes in the German lines. HQ-I Koniev uses an OC to attack HQ-A Rundstedt,
who is forced to retreat into a difficult position. The prevailing blizzard stops the Russians from getting to far, but when the turn ends the Germans
have Still not been able to stabilize the front. The front elements of the Red Army have crossed the Vistula river in the south and are standing at
the Prussian border in the north.

M/A '43 - Eastern front unified

West: The allies retain control of the western Med and keep the axis African army under HQ-A Graziani OOS. In the last impulse of the turn the
allies take advantage of clearing weather and land both the American and the British MAR behind the axis line, 2 hexes east of Oran.

East: Germany stabilizes the front behind the Vistula and takes back the hexes lost behind it. The two parts of the front merge into one as Red
Army elements meet up west of the Pripet and capture Brest-Litovsk. Zhukov achieves a breakthrough in Rumania with the use of an OC and
captures Cernauti, and the turn ends before the Germans can retreat properly.

M/J '43 - Axis African army destroyed

West: The allies get initiative and take super-combined actions with both the CW and the US on the double impulse. Oran falls easily, and without
a port to trace supply the heroic sacrifices of the Italian navy in the western Med matter very little. The entire axis African army including Graziani
is destroyed in this one turn for no allied losses. The allied troops head for Algiers, defended by a single Italian WP GAR.
Simultaneously the allies land in Bretagne, a British force in the hex east of Brest and an American-Mexican force in Lorient. Before the axis are
able to counter-attack the allies blitz the defenders out of Brest and set up a good bridgehead. The German SUB-fleet escapes to Kiel. The axis
attempt two low-odds blitzes to throw the invaders back into the Atlantic, but are unsuccessful in spite of the fact that the Mexicans are unable to
coordinate ground support with the RAF, leaving the US-Mexican hex void of air cover.

East: The USSR also cracks an OC on the double impulse to let Zhukov exploit the breakthrough in Rumania. The Russian offensive reaches the
gates of Bucharest but fails the final assault on the city itself. Ploesti is captured, but only for one impulse before the Germans can retake it.
North of Rumania the Germans take advantage of the clear weather and the far superior quality of troops and engage in a major counter-offensive.
The front is pushed east all the way to the Neman river, anchored for the USSR in Kaunas, and once again the front is split in two by the Pripet.
Germany recaptures Brest-Litovsk. The turn ends with both lines looking thin in Rumania.

J/A '43 - German counter-offensive continues

West: The allies consolidate the line in Bretagne, as do the Germans.
Both sides take a defensive posture. The allied African army captures Algiers to liberate Algeria, and continues east along the railway towards
Tripoli.
A single corps heads south to secure the Algerian resource. HQ-A Montgomery arrives and is immediately sent to Narvik from where he leads a
successful attack into Petsamo, after a Russian assault has softened the defenders somewhat. The allies also open up another front, as the first
bombs start falling on German factories.

East: The superior German forces continue the counter-offensive, boosted by an OC on HQ-A Rommel in Rumania. The Germans take back the
hexes in front of Bucharest and Ploesti and set up a solid defensive line there. Army Group Center, spearheaded by the 1st SS ARM, push the
Russians back to the Old Polish border, recapturing Lvov in the process. However, HQ-I Yeremenko exploits co-operation problems between
Italian and Finnish units in the north and burns an OC to get into Prussia. The Russians are halted short of Köningsberg and only achieve a
German production increase. The front continues to be highly fluid.

S/O '43 - The battle of Helsinki

Med: In Africa the allies slowly edge on towards Tripoli and liberate Tunisia. No fighting occurs on land. At sea combined axis air forces score a
stunning victory over the allied fleet in the western Med, forcing it to abort and sinking the Ark Royal. Allied supply in Africa is not Threatened by
this as the allies control the railway out through Morocco, but the axis prove that the battle for control of the Med is not over yet.

West: In Finland Monty continues the advance and easily captures Helsinki, thanks to going first in the turn and having clear weather. The Finns
however launch a desperate counter-assault to retake their capital at 1:1 and in a heroic effort they succeed. Monty is destroyed and suddenly all
remaining allied troops in Finland are OOS. With only the lone Finnish survivor in Helsinki, the USSR sends its MAR over the bay of Finland
here it joins up with an INF out of Leningrad to assault the Finnish capital.
Again the Finns prove to be too much for the allies to handle, and the attack is repulsed. The western allied forces shamefully withdraw to Petsamo.

East: No major offensive attemps are made by either side. The Russians pull out of Prussia and the Germans make it clear they will not enter
Russian soil, insted stopping in Poland.

N/D '43 - Failed offensives

West: In atrocious weather the German SUB have their finest hour. The German naval command has developed a new submarine warfare doctrine,
as the (huge!) SUB fleet now sails and attacks in surface mode, skillfully ignoring the capacity to dive. Allied escorts are completely confounded by
the new approach and 8 CW CP are destroyed, a new turn record for the SUB.

East: As soon as the first snow starts falling, Zhukov drops an OC in Rumania. All attacks fail miserably and the offensive is halted as soon as it
begins. The German counter-attacks against the weakened Russian line are equally resultless. The Russians do manage to capture a few swamp
hexes in the Pripet.

J/F '44 - Failed offensives II

West: Complete standstill.

East: Both Koniev and Vatutin launch OC attacks for the Russians, Koniev in Poland and Vatutin in Rumania. All attacks fail to achieve their
objectives.
The Germans maintain a tight defense.

M/A '44 - Eastern front unified once more

West: Complete standstill.

East: The front is once more unified, this time with the Russian line running down the western edge of the Pripet. A few skirmishes occur but
nothing of importance.

M/J '44 - Allies land in Italy

Med: The allies finally bring enough power to bear on Tripoli to capture it. The western allied doctrine so far has been not to attack on any odds
below the sure thing. As soon as Tripoli is secure, the allies turn their gaze towards the Italian mainland. Both the CW and the US have been busy
rebasing lots of TRS capacity to the minor ports in north Africa and lots of AC and a PARA to Tunisia, and because of this they are immediately
able to start the invasion. The CW takes no less than three super-combined actions during the turn, to perform invasions and to expand the various
beachheads.
Invasions take place in Reggio, Trapani and the most southern hex in Sicily, and by the end of the turn there are ten allied corps in Italy along with
some aircraft. All Italian TRS are either destroyed or damaged, and the only Italian unit still in Sicily is the PARA. The Italian fleet is forced to
abort from Italian coast to Taranto. All together, things look grim for the Italians.

West: In Bretagne, thanks to the series of super-combined actions and some unlucky German attacks, the British move a hex forward. This front
has been quiet since the allies landed, when suddenly the Germans start attacking, managing to retake Bordeaux from the Americans. This turn is
also the best yet for allied bomber command, with 14 German BP destroyed, including two oil.

East: The front rolls back and forth during the turn as OC are expended on both sides. First, Vatutin leads attacks in Poland west of the Pripet.
Second, Manstein engages the Russians all along the front and destroys HQ-A Rokossovsky in the process. Third, Zhukov supports attacks in
Poland and Rumania and captures Lvov. The Russian PARA corps also cut off the German spearhead in Poland. Fourth, Rundstedt re-establishes
supply to the spearhead, destroys the PARA and recaptures Lvov. The Russians are finally forced to retreat along the entire line after suffering
heavy losses.
The turn ends with the Russian southern front running west from Cutatea-Alba, up nort-west through the Carpatian mountains and bending north-
east east of Lvov. The Pripet then once again divides the front, and the nortern part runs along the Neman river. Both sides are in bad shape,
although the Germans seem to have more staying power. Germany still has six OC left, With one more on the production spiral.

J/A '44 - Allies land in southern France

Med: The axis air forces do a splendid job of keeping the allies from reinforcing Sicily. Cautious as ever, the allies dare not move loaded TRS into
the Italian coast. The allies are even forced to abort the area, and to sneak supply to the army through a Norwegian TRS escorted by a single
cruiser in the "1" box. The army destroys the Italian PARA to clear Siciliy completely from enemy units.

West: Frustrated by the long preparation time for the invasion of Italy, allied high command decides that the previous plans for an invasion of
Normandy must be scrapped. A new plan is constructed in haste for an invasion of southern France. Landings are made two hexes west of
Marseilles and in Nice. The western landing proceeds according to plan, but the Nice landing is a disaster as both invading corps are destroyed
including the US 3rd MAR. The remaining invaders meet little or no resistance. In Bretagne, allied air superiority starts making itself felt, but the
front remains static.

East: The Russians finally make substantial territorial gains in Rumania with the help of three OC, of which two are used by Zhukov and the last is
used to flip all HQ back up. In spite of German counter-attacks with the help of an OC on Rommel the turn ends with the USSR in control of both
Bucharest and Ploesti. The Rumanians consequently surrender, leaving a few gaps in the southern part of the German line. The loss of Ploesti
means that Germany will no longer be able to move all of its reinforcements off the production spiral.

S/O '44 - Italy on the ropes

Med: The allies forcefully reclaim control of the Italian coast, shooting down all but a few axis NAV. The battle of the Italian skies is over. A
smaller US carrier strike force also clears the estern Med of axis shipping. As this shipping was carrying the Iraqui oil, and allied bomber command
has been bombing the German and Austrian oil-fields continously for some time, the axis will now be pushing about a dozen units forward on the
production spiral because of lack of oil. Able to reinforce properly, the allies again do a series of super-combined actions and capture Taranto.
Every allied hex in Italy that is not in an enemy ZOC is then stacked to the max, including extra AC with HQ. The garrison count ends at 23-23...
Italy holds. West: Since the axis are busy on all fronts, the invading forces in southern France are able to expand their beachhead against virtually
no resistance.
They encircle Marseilles and capture Nice and Toulon. East: Rommel makes a desperate attempt to re-establish the Rumanian line and burns
another OC. The attacks are wildly successful and the front is stabilized. The Germans retake Plosti but loose it again before end of turn.

N/D '44 - Italy conquered

Med: The Italians make a last effort to stand and fight, but although they retake Taranto for a while they cannot stand up against the overwhelming
allied superiority for long. The final blow to Italian pride is the sinking of the battleships Roma and Vittorio in the eastern Med. Lord Mountbatten
accepts the unconditional Italian surrender shortly thereafter. Germany takes control of the few remaining Italian cruisers in Athens.

West: Allied forces in France go on the offensive with the help of massive shore bombardment and air support. In Bretagne, Nantes falls and a
breakthrough is achieved. In the south, Marseilles falls and the Germans are forced to retreat.

East: Again OC are expended on both sides over Ploesti, and again the Russians hold it at end of turn. Still the German line holds.

J/F '45 - Leningrad falls

West: Allied forces secure Rome and La Spezia before the Germans make it there in force. They also attempt a very risky attack against HQ-I
Model to put the entire German army in Italy OOS, but fail. Germany sets up a line behind the Po river, and the allies decide to disregard this
front entirely in favour of the French campaign. In France, the allied advance Continues and the Germans withdraw in good order. A small allied
contingent is sent to Egypt to clear out the few remaining German defenders there.

East: The German line finally collapses. A tactical mistake by Rundstedt leaves Lvov OOS, which is immediately exploited by the Russians. OC
on Zhukov and Koniev compound the difficulties for the Germans. The Russian line is again unified west of the Pripet, but the Germans will not be
able to come back this time. The triumph is symbolized by the destruction of the 1st SS ARM north of Lvov. However, the celebration does not
last for long.
The opportunistic Finns decide the time is right to expand their borders and with the help of an OC on Mannerheim they capture Leningrad. The
Russians are furious with their so called "allies" in Petsamo for not dealing properly with the Finnish situation. A separate peace treaty is signed
with the Finns, and only a few Russian corps are moved north to make sure they don't get frisky.

M/A '45 - Suez canal re-opened

West: The US burns the only air OC of the game on McArthur. The British simultaneously burn their only land OC of the game on Alexander in a
risky attempt to unite the western and southern French fronts. The desired effect would be a large pocket of OOS Germans in the Central Massive.
The attacks fail miserably and the Germans are able to continue their retreat in good order. No German unit dares to take a stand on the coast
however, and Rouen is captured. Egypt is liberated and the British celebrate the grand re-opening of the Suez canal.

East: The Germans retreat and the Russians follow. No spectacular attacks are made.

M/J '45 - Germans routed

West: In a last desperate drive for objectives, the allies throw everything they have against Paris but fail to take it. The game ends with a unified
German front along the Seine river, except for Rouen, anchored on Lyon. The last German unit in the middle-east is destroyed as the allies liberate
Palestine.

East: In a similar desperate drive for objectives, the Russians throw almost everything at Warsaw. They are more successful, and Poland is
liberated. The Germans are now completely unable to form a cohesive defensive line, and end the game on a pass to keep the Russians from going
any further.

Axis controlled objectives at end of game
Berlin, Kiel, Munich, Vienna, Prague, Milan, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Paris, Oslo, Helsinki, Leningrad, Budapest, Belgrade, Athens + 2 Japanese
raids =17.Units line.2001
